    BY TRAIN

If you are taking the train, or even thinking of it as an alternative you must see our own page for Metro North Train schedules; information about each station; taxi services; current weather; telephone locations; and our handy 1 page printout of schedules.

From Grand Central Terminal, take the Hudson line and get off at Cold Spring. There are many trains running on the weekends and you can return to New York City as late as 11:30pm (approximate, check schedule) weekends and weekdays. The ride averages 1 hour and 18 minutes. Some changes at Croton-Harmon Station during off hours.

This ride, along the Hudson River, is one of the most famous in the country and has been the backdrop for many movies as it passes along the Palisades, through Haverstraw Bay, and winds its way through the magnificent Hudson Highlands. If you have not experienced the train ride along the Hudson, the next time you visit consider leaving the car at home. Cold Spring is the only stop on the Hudson Line where you exit in the heart of the business and historic district.
